Relogistics in Hammond, LA is seeking a Break Pack Sorter to hand sort reusable cardboard boxes, grade quality, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

The position offers 2nd through 4th shifts with a pay rate of $16.00/hr and a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, a 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, safety awareness, and the ability to work overtime. Prior warehouse or general labor experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hand stack cardboard boxes onto designated pallets to appropriate height.
• Load/unload materials from trailers by hand.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Check finished pallets are properly secured prior to moving.
• Move pallets and materials in crates around the storage facility.
• Assist with coordinating trailer moves.
• Accurately complete all production paperwork.
• Communicate directly with Shift Lead or On-Site Manager to provide regular updates.
• Maintain Relogistics efficiency and standards of production.

2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM
3rd Shift: Sunday - Wednesday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
4th Shift: Wednesday - Saturday 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM

Work Environment

• Ability to work in extreme conditions, including elements, heat, cold, and air particulate.
• Repetitive adjustment of body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths.
• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required: eye protection, ear protection mandatory at several locations, safety shoes.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
