Job summary

Nortek Air Solutions seeks a Brazing Technician to join our manufacturing team in the United States. You will bond metal parts using heat and brazing filler, following blueprints and work orders.

You will ensure joints are clean, properly brazed, and meet quality standards, while maintaining safety and cooperating with teammates. The role requires reading drawings, operating torches, and handling tools with care.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Requires brazing experience (1+ years) or equivalent training.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical/piping drawings and legends.
• Must follow safety protocols and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Brazes components to assemble metal parts per layout or blueprints using hand torch and filler.
• Removes and cools brazed parts; cleans joints.
• Examines seams and rebrazes defective joints or broken parts.
• Connects hoses from torch to regulators and gas cylinders; applies flux.
• Aligns and secures parts in fixtures; selects torch tip and brazing alloy.
• Operates and adjusts equipment to heat metal to bonding temperature.
• Destructive examination and testing of brazed joints as needed.
