Bodycote in Compton, CA is seeking a Braze Engineer to lead brazing and assembly processes under the General Manager. You will develop brazing systems to meet customer requirements, train plant staff, and support sales with braze-related issues and quotations.

Applicants should have 5+ years in thermal brazing, metallurgy knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely delivery, with a competitive salary and bonus plan.

Qualifications

• ITAR compliance: US citizen or permanent resident.
• Engineering degree or equivalent in metallurgy, materials, or welding.
• 5+ years in thermal brazing processes (furnace, induction, or torch).
• Knowledge of heat treating, metallurgy, and customer requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Direct braze activities and manage braze staffing to meet goals.
• Collaborate with plant personnel to solve braze-related issues.
• Provide technical support to Sales and assist with braze quotations.
• Engage with customers on braze-related issues and requirements.
• Develop new brazing processes and evaluate equipment or technology upgrades.
