Job summary

Bodycote is seeking a Braze Engineer to lead brazing operations, develop processes, and support customer specifications. You will oversee brazing staffing, collaborate with plant personnel, and advise Sales on quotes.

The role requires strong knowledge of brazing methods and materials in a heavy industrial environment. The ideal candidate has at least five years in thermal brazing, is ITAR compliant, and proficient in reading blueprints and English communication.

Qualifications

• Engineer degree or equivalent in metallurgical, materials, or welding engineering.
• At least 5 years' experience in thermal processing with brazing.
• ITAR compliance: US citizen or permanent resident.
• Knowledge of heat treating, metallurgy, inspection, and customer needs.
• Ability to read and communicate in English; read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Direct brazing activities and staffing to meet company goals.
• Evaluate and solve brazing-related issues with plant personnel.
• Support Sales with braze quotations and technical input.
• Develop new brazing processes and train plant staff in BMS requirements.
• Ensure on-time shipping with high quality and EMS compliance.
• Participate in staff meetings and interact with other departments.
