Methode Electronics Inc. in Rolling Meadows, IL is seeking a Brazing Operator 2 to perform setup, operation, and maintenance of brazing equipment for sheet metal and fabricated components.

You will contribute to NADCAP-compliant brazing processes and ensure quality through precise measurements and process documentation. Applicants should have 3+ years of brazing experience, read blueprints with GD&T, and hold NADCAP brazing certification (or obtain it).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience setting up and operating brazing equipment (furnace, torch, induction).
• NADCAP brazing certification or ability to obtain and maintain certification.
• Read and interpret blueprints or drawings, including GD&T.
• Read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine set-up/changeover on brazing equipment to meet product specs.
• Program, profile, and adjust furnace temperatures, atmospheres, and cycle times for new products.
• Operate brazing equipment to meet production and quality goals; adjust as needed.
• Perform manual production tasks such as cleaning, flux/filler application, fixturing, and load/unload.
• Inspect outputs with calipers, micrometers, gauges to verify specifications.
• Complete NADCAP process documentation and travelers.
• Participate in daily/weekly/monthly maintenance per manuals.
• Maintain neat, safe work area and follow PPE/fume extraction rules.

## Brazing Operator 2Applylocations: Rolling Meadows, ILtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R26251**Position Summary:**Performs more complex set-up, operation, and minor maintenance of furnace, torch, and/or induction brazing equipment used to join sheet metal and fabricated components. Has attained full proficiency in brazing operations within the facility's NADCAP-accredited brazing process.**Position Responsibilities:*** Perform machine set-up/changeover on furnace, torch, and/or induction brazing equipment to produce the required product or components by making mechanical adjustments to meet product specifications* Perform first time set-up of equipment for new products through programming, profiling, and mechanical/software adjustments, including furnace temperature profiles, atmosphere, and cycle times* Operate brazing equipment to achieve production requirements and quality goals. Make adjustments to correct output as needed* Perform manual production operations as required, e.g., part cleaning, flux and filler metal application, fixturing, and load/unload of furnace batches* Use of calipers, micrometers, gauges to inspect machine output to verify proper part configuration and workmanship standards are being met* Complete required NADCAP process documentation and travelers* Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities in accordance with machine operation manual or maintenance work instruction* Maintain neat and orderly work areas and comply with all safety rules, including proper PPE and fume extraction use* Other duties as assigned**Qualifications:*** ### Due to U.S. export control laws and regulations (ITAR), applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or otherwise qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.62).
