Job summary

The Brazer position at BAC in Dayton, TN is a hands-on role within the coil manufacturing team. You will follow standard work to braze copper components using single- and dual-tip oxy-fuel torches to assist with final assembly.

You will read blueprints, set up torches, heat and bond parts, ensure joints are clean, and re-braze any faulty joints while striving to meet daily production targets. Safety and PPE compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Six months of brazing/welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and dimensional drawings.
• Braise copper components using oxy-fuel torches.
• Guide torch and rod to heat and bond parts.
• Clean joints and re-braze defective areas.
• Inspect joints and re-braze as needed.
• Connect hoses from torch to regulator valves.
• Select torch tip, flux, and alloy from data charts.
• Understand calipers and measurement equipment.
• Meet daily production goals.
• Assist with replenishing and organizing the work area.
• Follow all safety requirements (tools and PPE).
• Maintain 5S in the department.
• Flex to other areas as needed to support team.
