Job summary
The Salvation Army in Salina, Kansas is seeking a Part-Time Music Program Leader to plan and teach music theory, performance skills, and related values to children and adults within the corps and community. You will develop weekly lesson plans, organize Bravo recitals and year-end concerts, encourage participants to grow and contribute to community events, and help promote the corps' mission through music and outreach.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in music preferred, or extensive experience teaching music.
A minimum of two years’ music experience working with children/adults. Performance experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
Lead music and other arts programs as assigned.
Plan weekly music lessons and implement the curriculum.
Organize Bravo recitals and prepare year-end concerts.
Encourage participants to develop musical abilities and self-esteem.
Organize performances and community activities to promote the mission.
