Job summary

DocuSign, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer Intern for the Signing Core Backend (SCORE) team in Seattle.

You will help re-architect branding into a centralized microservice used across the ecosystem, exposing RESTful and gRPC interfaces and moving branding compute to an Azure-hosted service. This 4-month internship is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering, with in-office days required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with expected graduation between December 2027 and May/June 2028.
• Strong programming fundamentals and at least one backend language (e.g., C#, Java, Go, or similar).
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Experience with HTTP/REST web services and basic API design.
• Available for a 12-week hybrid internship based in Seattle with required in-office days.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a centralized branding microservice powering cross-product brand consistency.
• Build and evolve RESTful and gRPC APIs to define, retrieve, validate, and apply branding configurations.
• Migrate branding compute into an Azure-based service using MSF patterns for reliability and scalability.
• Improve branding validation to allow preview before production deployment.
• Write tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) for branding APIs and workflows.
• Collaborate with adjacent teams to ensure reuse and consistent experiences across products.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint ceremonies; document services and runbooks.
