Job summary

National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC) seeks a Communications and Social Media Specialist to manage internal communications, social channels, website content, branding, and outreach. This role sits within the business development team and reports to the Associate Director, helping elevate the NREC brand as a leader in robotics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree required or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years marketing/outreach experience.
• 1–3 years social-media experience.
• Excellent writing, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with AI tools to generate content and graphics.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Generate and post content on NREC’s social media pages regularly.
• Create content from internal and external sources for news stories and press releases.
• Support internal communications such as newsletters and official announcements.
• Update content on the website (news stories, videos/graphics, project pages, job postings).
• Support recruiting with branding, marketing material, social media, and job postings.
