Job summary

Security Benefit is seeking a Brand and Social Media Intern to join a collaborative, agile team at our Topeka home office. The role supports social media strategy, content creation, and brand consistency, with a hybrid on-site/remote schedule and a start of 10–20 hours per week.

The internship is designed for full-time students pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or related fields. You’ll gain hands-on experience and contribute to multi-channel campaigns while developing professional

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and ability to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the creation of social media campaigns.
• Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets.
• Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability.
• Brainstorm and research ideas for original content.
• Write social media captions that speak to the company’s target audience.
• Help create and edit short-form videos.
• Develop new strategies for increasing engagement.
• Assist with photo/video content shoots.
• Ensure brand message is consistent.
