Job summary

C Spire seeks a Social Media Intern for a Summer 2026 program at our Ridgeland, MS corporate office. You will join the Marketing Department’s Social Media Team, assisting with content creation, calendar planning, and campaign integration while gaining exposure to strategy and analytics.

You will learn organic social best practices, collaborate with multiple teams, and contribute ideas for brand pages, employee advocacy channels, and influencer outreach.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in an accredited college or university, as a junior, senior, or graduate student in good standing.
• Pursuit of a degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field of study.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite on an Apple Mac platform.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in social media marketing, influencer marketing, community management and brand reputation management.
• Collaborate with Organic Channel Specialist and Organic Social Media Coordinator to learn best practices.
• Contribute content ideas for brand pages and employee advocacy channels.
• Assist with content creation across platforms and formats.
• Support day-to-day channel management including scheduling, engagement, social listening and trend monitoring.
• Assist with content calendar planning and profile audits across platforms.
• Support influencer marketing research, outreach and proposal development.
• Gain exposure to social media reporting and analytics.
