Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. seeks a results-driven Relationship Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for national and branded customers across DAR PRO facilities. You will coordinate service, billing, contract compliance, and cross-functional activities with internal teams and third-party providers.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of customer service experience in an office or corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in business technologies, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong multitasking, time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to respond promptly, professionally, and proactively.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, processes, and business requirements quickly.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and solve problems with minimal direction.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering quality service and support.

Responsibilities

  • Leads service communications, analyzes customer and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and develops recommendations to enhance service performance.
  • Maintains comprehensive customer records
  • Coordinates with accounting and operational teams to ensure accurate billing, payment processing, and contract compliance
  • Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Serves as the primary liaison for many of the organization's largest and most strategically important customer accounts regarding service issues, account maintenance, and operational changes.
  • Manages and maintains relationships with national, branded, and high-value customer accounts as well as third-party vendors and brokers
  • Serves as the primary escalation point for complex service-related issues and customer concerns overseeing issue resolution through completion
  • Evaluates customer situations to determine appropriate resolutions and implements corrective actions
  • Analyzes service performance data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements
  • Coordinates activities among customers, operations teams, accounting departments, and third-party service providers.
  • Ensures the accuracy of customer records, billing information, and account documentation.
  • Partners with leadership and cross-functional teams to support customer retention, satisfaction, and business objectives

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical customer solutions.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and decisiveness in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience with Windows, Oracle, or other enterprise business systems.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

For an office-based position, work is primarily performed in a professional indoor environment with minimal exposure to physical hazards. The role requires extended periods of sitting, frequent use of a computer and telephone, and occasional standing, walking, bending, or lifting light items up to 25 pounds.
