Job summary

Better Buzz Coffee seeks a General Manager for its Brand New Location in California. The role leads a high-volume café, trains and develops the team, and drives guest experience and financial performance. Training away from home for 8 weeks and open availability (45 hours/week) are required.

The hourly pay is $32.00–$35.00 with potential monthly bonuses; benefits and growth opportunities are offered. Our new cafe at 1016 E.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Development: Build, lead, and develop a team of Assistant General Managers, Lead Shift Supervisors, Shift Supervisors, and Team Ambassadors and Baristas who embody the Better Buzz culture; Address all team concerns with urgency, fairness, clarity, strength and compassion; Champion a workplace environment free of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, and ensure trainings.
• Guest Experience & Brand Standards: Lead the team to deliver exceptional guest experience; Resolve guest concerns professionally and recover the experience with empathy and urgency; Champion training and readiness for all brand initiatives, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
• Operations & Financial Performance: Operate the café to meet or exceed financial targets; Build and post accurate, compliant team schedules; Manage labor to forecast and team availability; Drive sales through hospitable service and upselling; Maintain compliance with speed of service and drive-thru times; Ensure inventory and cash controls.
• Compliance, Safety & Wellbeing: Maintain food safety and sanitation standards; Comply with employment laws including wage and hour rules; Complete incident reporting; Maintain a safe environment.
• Communication & Partnership: Partner with District Manager on coaching, performance, and people strategy; Communicate with Better Buzz Support Center, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
