Job summary

Brain Co. seeks a brand designer who animates to define Brain Co.'s motion vocabulary across marketing, product demos, social, and events. You will extend the brand into time-based media and collaborate with product design to set motion principles, ensuring consistency and expressive freedom.

You will drive AI-assisted motion workflows and deliver finished, portfolio-ready work as an actively contributing creator on a fast-growing team in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Brand designer with motion experience and strong typography
• Ability to define and evolve motion vocabulary for multiple channels
• Proven experience defending design decisions in critique
• Experience owning motion for brands, in-house or at an agency

Responsibilities

• Define and own Brain Co.'s motion vocabulary across marketing, product demos, social, events, and film
• Extend the new brand identity into time-based media, from launch videos to conference visuals
• Partner with product design to establish motion principles in our product: easing, loading states, transitions, and micro-interactions
• Build high-impact demos and films to win new business with governments, healthcare systems, and critical industries
• Establish our framework for AI-assisted motion production: tool selection, workflows, and a visual system for AI generation
• Produce finished work yourself; this is a hands-on role with a reel to build
