Job summary

Brain Co. seeks a motion designer to shape the company’s visual language from branding through product demos. You’ll be the first motion hire on the brand team, reporting to the Head of Design, and work with brand and product designers to define motion vocabulary and AI tooling strategies.

You’ll own time-based media, from launch videos to conference visuals, and produce your own work to build a standout reel that demonstrates the brand’s expressive motion system across industries.

Qualifications

• Brand designer with motion focus and typography/systems thinking.
• Ability to defend design decisions in critiques and justify brand choices.
• Experience owning motion aspects of a brand, in-house or agency.
• Genuine curiosity about AI tools for motion work and their limits.

Responsibilities

• Define and own Brain Co.’s motion vocabulary across marketing, product demos, social, events, and film.
• Extend brand identity into time‑based media: launch videos, explainers, conference visuals.
• Partner with product design to establish motion principles in the product: easing, loading states, transitions, micro-interactions.
• Build high‑impact demos/films to win new business with governments, healthcare, and critical industries.
• Establish framework for AI‑assisted motion production: tool selection, workflows, visual system for AI generation.
• Produce finished work yourself; the reel you build will be yours.
