Job description

YLT7 is a fast-growing consumer brand startup based in Los Angeles and Hong Kong, building a portfolio of modern lifestyle and e-commerce brands. We operate with a lean, creative, and fast-moving team where ideas can quickly turn into campaigns, content, partnerships, and customer experiences.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, strategic, analytical, and culture-driven Brand Marketing Specialist to help shape and grow our consumer brands.

This role combines brand strategy, consumer insights, campaign planning, and performance analysis. You will identify growth opportunities, develop marketing initiatives, and collaborate with our Creative and Marketing teams to turn ideas into meaningful business results. The ideal candidate is a curious, independent thinker who understands consumer behavior, stays connected to culture and emerging trends, and can translate insights into compelling marketing strategies.

We are looking for someone who goes beyond executing assigned tasks—someone who proactively brings ideas, challenges assumptions, and takes ownership of marketing initiatives from concept through results. You will report directly to the CEO, working closely with leadership to develop and execute marketing initiatives across our portfolio of brands.

This is not primarily a content creation or administrative coordination role.

A portfolio or relevant marketing work samples are required. Applications without them will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen brand positioning, storytelling, consumer engagement, and customer acquisition.
  • Translate research and insights into actionable marketing recommendations and initiatives.
  • Help develop monthly and quarterly marketing campaigns, including objectives, target audiences, messaging, creative direction, and channel strategies.
  • Develop campaign concepts, content strategies, creative briefs, and marketing presentations.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Marketing teams to bring integrated campaigns to life.
  • Take ownership of assigned marketing initiatives from planning through execution and post-campaign evaluation.
Brand Growth & Performance
  • Analyze marketing performance, consumer engagement, and campaign results to identify growth opportunities.
  • Recommend improvements to brand awareness, customer acquisition, conversion, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Propose and test new marketing ideas, audiences, channels, and initiatives to drive measurable business results.
Partnerships & Brand Development
  • Identify strategic opportunities for influencer collaborations, brand partnerships, PR, and community-building.
  • Develop partnership and activation concepts that strengthen brand relevance and reach new audiences.
  • Evaluate potential initiatives based on brand fit, consumer relevance, and business impact.
Requirements
  • 2–5 years of experience in brand marketing, campaign marketing, marketing strategy, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience developing marketing campaigns, strategies, or initiatives beyond execution alone.
  • Strong strategic and creative thinking, with the ability to independently develop ideas and actionable plans.
  • Solid understanding of branding, consumer behavior, storytelling, and digital marketing.
  • Strong awareness of social media, internet culture, emerging brands, and consumer trends.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret marketing performance and turn data into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong aesthetic judgment and ability to communicate ideas through presentations, moodboards, and creative briefs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast‑paced startup environment.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with DTC, e‑commerce, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, design, or consumer brands.
  • Understanding of paid advertising, CRM/email marketing, CRO, or customer acquisition.
  • Experience with influencer marketing, brand partnerships, PR, or community‑building.
  • Experience working with multiple brands or in a startup environment.
  • Basic photography, video production, or short‑form editing skills.
  • Salary: $28-38 per hour, depending on experience and skill set
  • Clear growth path with opportunities to take on greater ownership
