Brand Marketing Principal Software Engineer – Mobile & Cloud Platforms

Overview

We are seeking a Brand Marketing Principal Software Engineer – Mobile & Cloud Platforms to lead the architecture, planning, and implementation of our customer-facing mobile applications, cloud infrastructure, and backend systems. This role involves working across technical domains to develop a scalable and cohesive technology foundation supporting application growth, IoT integrations, and marketing technology utilities. The ideal candidate will possess both hands-on technical expertise and strategic judgment to align engineering decisions with long-term product goals. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead architectural design and development of mobile backend infrastructure, marketing utilities, and cloud services.
2. Establish and enforce code quality standards, development best practices, and peer review protocols.
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and roadmaps.
4. Evaluate, integrate, and maintain third-party platforms and APIs to support application and campaign functionalities.
5. Guide BLE and IoT system integrations with mobile applications and backend telemetry support.
6. Coordinate planning across a cross-functional team of mobile, backend, and DevOps engineers.
7. Design MarTech utilities and data activation strategies aligned with marketing and customer experience goals.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
2. At least 5 years of software development experience, including leadership of technical teams.
3. Proficiency in Python, GCP, and backend system design.
4. Experience with mobile development ecosystems (Kotlin, Swift) and backend support.
5. Ability to research and integrate third-party APIs and platforms independently.
6. Knowledge of BLE communication protocols and IoT infrastructure development.
7. Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to mentor team members.
