The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alameda, CA office in the Lingo Division. Working on Lingo, you will help build a next-generation technology that enables individuals to make decisions about how to improve energy, lose weight or enhance athletic performance. The Lingo team embodies a start-up culture and mindset with the backing of Abbott, a company with a rich history of healthcare innovation. We are seeking a highly motivated mobile software developer with 10+ years of experience capable of producing high quality code quickly. Should be well versed in several languages and with a strong interest in adapting to new technologies and rapid changes. Must have excellent communication, documentation skills, and familiarity with Agile development practices.
What You’ll Work On
Lead the design and development of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) features and frameworks within our iOS applications.
Architect scalable and maintainable Bluetooth communication layers, including peripheral and central roles.
Write easy-to-understand code.
Write unit-tests with the goal of 100% code coverage.
Debug software issues.
Analyze Crash Reports and debug code.
Comment code when it helps others understand the logic.
Avoid writing inefficient code and optimize at the end.
Write high level documentation and encourage peer feedback.
Identify hard to test code and offer alternative designs.
Attend daily standups, task refinement, and retrospectives.
Stay current with latest iOS version changes.
Constantly share knowledge with other team members.
Attend and participate in brown-bag meetings on various topics.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 10 plus years of relevant experience.
• Software languages: Swift, SwiftUI, C, C++, Objective C
• Tools: Jira, Confluence, and Git.
• Platforms: iOS, Watch OS
• Technologies: BLE, NFC, SQL, REST, React
• Deep understanding of Bluetooth stack internals, GATT profiles, and custom BLE services
• Proven track record of shipping Bluetooth-enabled iOS applications at scale.
• Strong understanding of multithreaded design principles.
• Familiarity with both ad-hoc and App Store distributions.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Experience with obfuscation tools.
• Experience with hardware profiling tools like sniffers.

The base pay for this position is
$111,300.00 – $222,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
