A stellar, highly organized, and creative Brand Marketing Coordinator to support NPD/Brand marketing initiatives. This role will serve as a cross-functional bridge between the Brand and PD teams, working in close partnership to develop, manage, and maintain our product pipeline and core portfolio from concept to launch. CORE FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Innovation & Pipeline Support
- Concept to Commercialization: Support the brand marketing team in developing product strategy and the innovation pipeline.
- Product Briefs: Assist in the creation of comprehensive product briefs, including positioning, competitive landscape, claims, pricing, and target usage.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with internal teams to align on project timelines, COGs, and deliverables.
- Data Integrity: Maintain uniform, up-to-date global assortment details, product profiles, and copy grids across all partners.
- PD Liaison: Serve as the on-site liaison between PD and Marketing, ensuring timely sample approvals, sample organization, and necessary messengering.
Competitive Analysis & Trend Research
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth collection and product competitive analysis, keeping internal product "Homebases" meticulously maintained.
- Industry Reporting: Perform monthly competitive analysis reports monitoring key prestige and mass haircare launches, tracking trending ingredients, and formatting innovations.
- Cross-Category & Brand Site Scouting: Monitor and report on trending storytelling formats across adjacent industries, including skincare, color cosmetics, and wellness, while monitoring site quality and search updates across the brand.
- Insight Gathering: Synthesize and report out insights utilizing consumer feedback and reviews at launch and post launch across retailers and our DTC, while also integrating feedback from social listening, CRM, and Yipit data.
- Product Review: Lead the ordering and compiling of competitive products for team evaluation and testing, while keeping everything organized and easily referenceable in the office.
Sample Management & Testing
- Sample Aggregation: Lead the cross-functional aggregation of sample needs for all new launches.
- Logistics & Delivery: Manage physical sample in-house dates and delivery for key stakeholders (PR, Social, Photoshoots, Power Reviews, Affiliate testing, etc.), clearly communicating updates to cross-functional partners.
- Salon Testing: Support salon testing on behalf of the marketing team, capturing marketing testimonies and elevating key insights.
- Inventory Control: Partner with PD to manage office sample product inventory, balancing stock against ongoing marketing needs.
- Sample Ordering: Manage shipment of all marketing related samples, for PR, eventing, gifting, etc.
Artwork & Project Management
- Artwork Routing: Partner cross-functionally alongside project managers to support artwork routing and lead artwork change control.
- Process Improvement: Help implement and streamline the digital routing process.
- Feedback Integration: Lead the collection of internal feedback on artwork changes and manage final approvals.
Brand Strategy & Retail Planning
- 360 Storytelling: Support the brand marketing team in setting the vision and strategy for 360 go-to-market calendars, helping to outline and build product stories based on business priorities and "big bet" innovations.
- Retail Partner Support: Assist the retail marketing team with necessary product deliverables, including samples, launch toolkits, and asset needs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: 2–3 years of experience in the beauty industry, with at least 1 year specifically focused on brand management, marketing, or product development.
- Mindset: A creative, agile mindset with the ability to interpret data analytics and successfully apply them to business strategy.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency with Google Suite, experience with competitive market data (ex. NPD, Yipit).
- Soft Skills: Exceptionally organized, self-motivated, analytical, and collaborative with strong interpersonal communication skills.
