Job summary

NIQ is seeking an Analyst to deliver category insights and business recommendations for clients. This client-facing role is onsite in Cincinnati, OH on a weekly basis, leveraging NIQ data and tools to support informed decisions.

You will translate data into compelling stories, develop category performance analyses, and collaborate with senior staff on thought leadership projects and client briefings.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of industry experience.
  • University graduate in Marketing, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent disciplines.
  • Curious person who likes building stories based on data to answer business questions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets/Slides.
  • Digital savvy and fast learner of concepts/tools/analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop efficient use of propriety NIQ tools and metrics to help solve clients' business questions.
  • Create relevant insights through analyses of retail measurement data and other NIQ datasets.
  • Clarify client questions during briefings and discuss metrics best suited to answer requests.
  • Simplify/visualize data and translate numbers into a compelling story for clients.
  • Prepare and present simple ad-hoc analyses when needed.
  • Lead generation: learn NIQ solutions and identify revenue leads with seniors.
  • Contribute to Thought Leadership Projects and in-market client briefings.

This is a client-facing position and requires being onsite in Cincinnati, OH on a weekly basis.

Job Description

As an Analyst, you'll act as an industry insightscategory expert with the main goal to delight clients; supporting them for informed business decisions through delivery of analysis and insights on their categories using the NIQ data with the NIQ tools,following the NIQ standards and Service Model.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop efficient use of propriety NIQtools and metrics, to use these to help solve clients' business questions.
  • Develop a good understanding of clients' businesses and needs in order to createrelevant insights through analyses of retail measurement data, and other NIQ data sets and be able to present, with guidance and support of seniors.
  • During the briefing process, field business questions and be able to ask clarifying questions & discussanalyses/metrics best suited to answerrequests.
  • Simplify/visualize data and translate numbers into a compelling story forclients.
  • Able to prepare (and present- in some cases) simple ad-hoc analysis.
  • Lead generation:Constantlylearn what solutions NIQ has for the clients and work closelywith the senior analyst and/or manager to identify revenue leads.
  • Bring awareness to roadblocks when theyarise.
  • Develop in preparing category performance overview analysis and business issue analysis as per Bronze and Silver Academy learnings (manager assessment to be 3.5 and above).
  • Client briefing: In-market: Ensure client briefing is received as per the briefing form with all areas filled. Ask questions to client to probe and understand the real issue.
  • Start contributing to Thought Leadership Projects.
  • Become bi-lingual (CPS+RMS):
    • Explain CPS facts and fundamentals to clients accurately and confidently,
    • Use Discover to generate and present CPS Insights,
    • Decrypt consumer and shopper KPIs into everyday, customer centric language

Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $58,100- $60,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location.Other benefits include a flexible working environment, comprehensive health insurance, industry-leading parental leave, life insurance, education support and more.
