With a growing portfolio of races, we're looking for someone who lives and breathes social media, loves creating content, and has a natural eye for what makes a brand stand out. From creating engaging Instagram Reels to designing graphics in Canva and capturing the energy of race weekend, this person will play a hands-on role in how our races show up across social media.
This is an opportunity for someone who is always thinking about their next content idea, keeps up with social media trends, and gets excited about turning those ideas into content that connects with runners and their communities.
- Hybrid work: Flexible remote + in-office. Most of our team works 2-4 days per week in-office.
- Race attendance: Work 6-8 event weekends, some requiring out-of-town travel.
- Reports to: Senior Brand Marketing Manager
What You’ll Do
We're looking for someone to help bring the Capstone Races brand to life across our portfolio of events. The major elements include:
- Social Media Content Creation: Create engaging, on-brand content for Instagram and Facebook across all Capstone race brands, including Reels, Stories, carousels, and other social-first formats.
- Canva Design: Create graphics and visual assets for social media, race promotions, community engagement, and other marketing needs while maintaining brand consistency across events.
- Video Editing: Edit short-form video content using tools like CapCut and Instagram Edits, bringing ideas to life through compelling visuals, pacing, music, and storytelling.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up to date on social media trends, sounds, formats, and creative ideas. Keep an eye on what other races, running brands, and creators are doing, and identify opportunities to adapt relevant trends for Capstone.
- Race Weekend Content: Help capture the energy of race weekends through social-first content, including behind-the-scenes moments, runner experiences, event highlights, and community interactions.
- Brand Consistency: Help ensure content reflects each race’s unique identity while staying true to the overall Capstone Races brand.
- Content Planning: Collaborate with the Brand Marketing Manager to plan and organize content calendars, brainstorm creative ideas, and support the execution of social media campaigns.
- Photography & Videography: Capture photos and videos for use across social media and other marketing channels as needed.
- Creative Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to develop fresh ideas, test new content formats, and find creative ways to connect with runners and local communities.
- Additional Marketing Support: Assist with other marketing initiatives and projects as needed, collaborating with the broader team to support campaigns, promotions, and special projects across the Capstone Races portfolio.

The following experience and skills will make for a compelling candidate:
- Familiarity with Instagram and Facebook content formats and best practices.

You don't need to check every box to be a great fit. We're most interested in your creativity, your eye for content, and your enthusiasm for learning and creating.
- $45K-$55K base salary, based on experience
Please include examples of content you've created, whether through previous work, personal social media accounts, freelance projects, or school projects. We want to see your creativity, your editing style, and your eye for social media.
