Job description

Northwest Family Law is a growth-minded, boutique law firm dedicated to providing holistic, solutions-driven family law services. We go beyond legal representation; we guide our clients through life's toughest transitions, turning the pain of divorce into the hope of a brighter future. We are passionate about helping our clients move forward with confidence, and we are looking for an exceptional marketing professional who shares that passion and wants to be part of a team that is redefining what the family law experience can be.

At Northwest Family Law, we believe our team is our greatest asset. We cultivate an environment where professionals can thrive, offering the support and opportunities needed for professional growth. For the right individual, this is more than just a job; it is a chance to grow alongside a team of passionate, like-minded professionals who truly enjoy working together.

The Role

You’ll carry the heart of our brand into the community. You’ll find the right rooms for us to be in, including speaking stages, sponsorships, and community events, and make sure that every time we show up, we look, sound, and feel like Northwest Family Law. Our attorneys build the relationships. You make everything around them happen.

Reports to: Owner/CEO. You’ll work alongside our fractional CMO, our SEO and website agency, and our social media partner.
What You’ll Own
Community Presence & Events
  • Find, pitch, and secure speaking opportunities for firm attorneys: panels, associations, podcasts, professional groups, and community organizations.
  • Identify and recommend sponsorships, tabling, and hosted events that put us in front of the families we serve.
  • Own every event end to end: budget, vendors, booth design, banners, printed materials, swag, staffing, run-of-show, lead capture, and follow-up.
  • Build and maintain a ready-to-go event kit and a firm events calendar.
  • Track results for every event: cost, contacts made, referrals generated, and clients retained.
Referral Network Support
  • Build and run the program behind our attorneys' relationships with financial advisors, CDFAs, therapists, mediators, CPAs, and other attorneys.
  • Maintain referral partner records in Lawmatics. Schedule touchpoints, run the appreciation program, and plan referral partner events.
  • Make sure no relationship falls through the cracks. Report monthly on referral activity and results.
Brand Stewardship
  • Be the guardian of our look, feel, and voice across every touchpoint: events, print, video, social, and advertising.
  • Maintain our brand standards and asset library. Produce collateral such as guides, brochures, and presentation materials.
Advertising & Media
  • Research and recommend where we advertise: local magazines, publications, sponsorships, and other media that reach families on the Eastside and in greater Seattle.
  • Manage placements, creative, and deadlines. Partner with our fractional CMO on budget and ROI.
Video & Content
  • Run our video program: plan topics with the CEO, coordinate scripts, schedule shoots, manage the videographer, and oversee editing and distribution.
  • Direct our social media partner: set the monthly content plan, priorities, and approvals so every post is on brand.
  • Maintain the firm's content calendar.
  • Keep legal directory profiles current (Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Super Lawyers, etc.) and manage award and recognition submissions.
  • Draft responses to online reviews for approval.
  • Ensure all marketing materials comply with Washington RPC 7.1-7.3 on attorney advertising and solicitation, including the RPC 7.2 restrictions on giving anything of value for referrals.
Intake Partnership
  • Help shape the first-call experience and intake scripts so a prospective client's first contact feels like our brand.
  • Use lead-source and conversion data to show which community efforts are bringing in clients.
Who You Are
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience (4+ years).
  • CRM experience. Direct experience with Lawmatics is a bonus.
  • Demonstrated history of successful end-to-end project management in event, brand, or community marketing, ideally with a boutique professional services firm, wealth management firm, luxury hospitality brand, or similar high-touch brand. You anticipate details others miss and own outcomes, not tasks.
  • A portfolio of events and materials you've produced that shows polished, on-brand work.
  • Experience managing event and marketing budgets and coordinating vendors such as venues, printers, designers, and videographers.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to draft clear, on-brand copy.
  • Comfort representing the firm at events and speaking with prospective clients, referral partners, and community leaders.
  • Discretion. Our clients trust us with the most personal parts of their lives.
  • Willingness to learn and follow Washington's attorney advertising rules (RPC 7.1-7.3).
Preferred
  • Experience coordinating speaking engagements, sponsorships, or referral partner programs.
  • Proficiency in Canva or Adobe, and the ability to brief designers, printers, and videographers.
