Job summary

The American Youth Foundation’s Miniwanca site in Shelby, Michigan is seeking an Outreach Manager to lead external communications and marketing year-round, including social media, email, text, and website content.

You will amplify program stories, support enrollment, and collaborate with the Executive Director and Marketing team to ensure brand-aligned messaging across channels. This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on content creation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in social media, communications, or marketing, preferably with nonprofit or youth-serving organization.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute social media strategy and content calendar across programs.
• Create engaging content (photos, video, written posts) to amplify program stories.
• Manage email communications for Camps and CSP, and SMS communications to families.
• Update AYF website pages and coordinate with Marketing and Communications on web/content strategy.
• Identify and execute marketing opportunities for programs (print, online, in-person).
• Support digital campaigns and outreach to build awareness and enrollment.
• Represent Miniwanca at events and support brand consistency across materials.
• Collaborate with CSP team to promote program offerings and maintain CSP content across channels.
