Job summary

Resawn Lumber – Santa Rosa, CA is hiring a Branch Yard Supervisor to oversee yard and warehouse operations. You will lead the yard crew, receive and stage material, and support counter sales when needed, ensuring accurate inventory and safe, efficient workflows.

Ideal candidates have yard/warehouse experience with some supervisory exposure; forklift experience is preferred and training can be provided. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Schedule Mon–Fri with Saturday availability as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a yard/warehouse environment or similar material handling.
• Some supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred; training can be provided.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Basic customer service skills for occasional counter support.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus; fencing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Open or close the yard under Branch Manager direction.

Pay: $38,000–$52,000 per year, depending on experience.

Resawn Lumber is hiring a Branch Yard Supervisor for our Santa Rosa location. This is a step below our Branch Manager role — focused on running the yard and warehouse side of the operation rather than the full branch. Extensive lumber or milling knowledge is not required. We're looking for someone who can lead our yard crew, keep inventory organized and accurate, receive and stage material, and step in to support counter sales when the branch gets busy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct yard and warehouse staff during shifts
• Receive, verify, and stage incoming material
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and organization in the yard and warehouse
• Pull and stage material for customer orders and deliveries
• Assist with loading customer orders and deliveries
• Operate a forklift to move and stack material safely
• Keep the yard and warehouse clean, organized, and safe
• Support counter sales during busy periods or when needed
• Report inventory discrepancies, damaged material, and equipment issues to the Branch Manager
• Help train new yard and warehouse employees
• Operate company vehicles for deliveries or branch needs when necessary
• Open or close the yard as needed, under direction of the Branch Manager

Qualifications

• Experience in a yard, warehouse, contractor supply, or similar material-handling environment
• Some supervisory or lead experience preferred, but not required
• Comfortable directing others and staying organized under pressure
• Forklift experience preferred; training can be provided
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, and assist with heavier material as a team
• Basic customer service skills for occasional counter support
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
• Fencing or fencing-material experience is a plus but not required

Schedule

Monday–Friday: Approximately 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Saturday: Availability as needed; typically a half day

Compensation

$38,000–$52,000 per year, depending on experience. This role reports to the Branch Manager and is a good fit for someone with yard or warehouse experience who's ready to lead a crew and grow toward branch management down the road.
