Job summary

First National Bank, Omaha, Nebraska seeks a Branch Supervisor to lead tellers and ensure exceptional customer service. The role provides leadership in the absence of the Branch Manager and supports daily operations and coaching across the team.

The ideal candidate brings retail banking experience, strong communication, and problem-solving skills to foster a collaborative, customer-focused environment and drive branch performance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Retail banking experience helpful.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the go-to person for daily branch operations in the absence of the Branch Manager.
  • Conduct one-on-one coaching and provide feedback to team members.
  • Monitor teller performance and support performance reviews.
  • Ensure adequate staff coverage for anticipated customer flow.
  • Address compliance and operational issues and identify training opportunities.
  • Assist in branch meetings/huddles and recognize team achievements.
  • Perform teller duties as needed to minimize risk.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures and escalate high-risk situations.
  • Contribute to successful branch audits both onsite and offsite.

Key Accountabilities:
  • This role is the “go to person” in the branch for the day to day successful operation of a branch when the Branch Manager is not present.
  • Conduct one-on-one employee meetings with assigned team members to provide coaching and feedback
  • Provide performance feedback to the manager on teller performance, begin performance review and performance improvement in the HR system and submit to manager.
  • Responsible to ensure there is adequate staff coverage to handle anticipated customer flow.
  • Ensure assigned team members resolve any compliance and operational issues. Identify and recommend any additional training opportunities.
  • Partner with branch manager to suggest and assist in facilitating branch meetings/huddles.
  • Partner with leadership to recognize individual/team success in addition to acting as a mentor to develop the teller team.
  • Effectively demonstrate and perform Teller duties as required to minimize the bank’s risk.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of policies and procedures to be an operational resource for the team. Adhere to such policies and procedures and consult with branch leadership on high risk situations.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the branch audits, both onsite and offsite; ensure the branch passes onsite and offsite assessments

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $41,116.00-$65,787.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
