Shasta Public Libraries’ Burney Library seeks a Branch Lead to manage daily operations, supervise staff, and engage the community. The role blends hands-on patron service with program delivery, Storytimes, and outreach to families and teens.

The position requires an Associate degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and at least one year in customer service or a public-facing setting. Onsite, 32 hours/week, $25/hour, part-time, non-exempt.

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of customer service or public-facing work.
• Library experience or supervisory roles preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate daily branch operations.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily branch operations and staffing.
• Perform circulation duties and manage holds.
• Assist patrons with reference and digital resources.
• Lead Storytimes and develop programs for all ages.
• Build community relationships and conduct outreach.
• Ensure policy adherence and safety.
• Track statistics and report operational concerns.
• Coordinate with HR for evaluations and actions.
