The role requires prior diesel shop maintenance experience and supervisory capabilities, with a focus on safety, scheduling, and performance reporting. Travel and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of diesel shop maintenance experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Associates Degree or Vo-Tech training preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and people-management skills.
• Must comply with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage preventative maintenance scheduling, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Resolve customer complaints regarding services, products, or personnel
• Hire, train, and evaluate personnel
• Ensure direct reports understand company objectives
• Develop methods to increase sales, expand markets, and promote business
• Direct and supervise staff in sales, inventory, and cash handling activities
• Assist staff with difficult tasks and oversee scheduling and assignments
• Attend meetings to share product information and coordinate with other departments
• Prepare sales and inventory reports for management and budgets
• Formulate pricing policies in line with profitability
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
