Grainger’s branch in Lanham is seeking a Branch Sales Associate to connect with walk-in customers, recommend products, and process orders while performing warehouse tasks. You will report to the Store Manager and handle varying duties across sales and inventory functions.

You will lift up to 50 pounds, operate basic equipment, and work flexible branch hours. This on-site role offers hourly pay with full benefits and opportunities for growth within a nationwide distributor.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Willingness to safely operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire customer experience, including product selection, order entry, and loading customer vehicle.
• Look for ways to maximize sales opportunities and build customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication style for email, phone, or in-person interactions.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping product.
• Prepare backorders and stock put-away for received items.
• Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts and maintain branch appearance.
