Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is hiring a Branch Sales Manager to drive revenue in the local territory and lead a team of service technicians. You will coordinate training, schedule activities, and ensure high-quality customer experiences on climate-control equipment and services.

You will also partner with the support office to keep contracts accurate and within 24 hours of delivery. The role requires strong sales and supervisory skills, knowledge of construction equipment, and the ability to manage

Qualifications

• Four years of sales or management experience.
• Customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of construction equipment applications, features, benefits, operation and specs.
• Excellent oral and written communication and supervisory skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel.
• Computer literate: Windows, Adobe Acrobat, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed revenue goals for the personal territory.
• Support other Sales Engineers through training and planning.
• Manage service technicians and schedule training; ride-alongs for service quality.
• Maintain daily schedule and oversee warehouse and office safety.
• Ensure contracts and related information are received by the support office within 24 hours of delivery or pickup.
• Fleet management: track assets, perform inventory reconciliations, order parts, keep READY-to-rent fleet.
• Manage company vehicles with weekly inspections and safety compliance.
• Oversee PC staff: weekly scheduling, goals, performance and compensation reviews with Regional Manager.

In addition, you will be the main contact for the support office and all employees (if any) will report to this position.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary responsibility is to meet and exceed revenue goal for personal territory.Secondary focus is to support other Sales Engineers through training, planning and follow up toensure the Profit center is meeting and exceeding its revenue goals.Service Responsibilities: Manage service technicians. Provide and/ or schedule training andparticipate in ride-a-longs on a regular basis to ensure customers are receiving the highest level ofservice and to provide recommendations for improvement (either to the technician or to the company).Manage and review daily schedule.Daily profit center operations responsibilities including Maintaining a safe, secure warehouse andoffice. This includes monitoring access and maintaining a system where all doors are locked andsecured when employees are away from the premises. Also, keeping the facility clean and safe inaccordance with company standards as well as managing (minimizing) utility costs. Ensuring that allcontracts (and related information) is received by support office CSR’s within 24 hours of delivery orpick up and that the information is high quality and meets company standards for accuracy andcompleteness.Fleet Management: Keeping track of all assets including and performing scheduled inventoryreconciliations. Minimizing down equipment by ordering necessary repair parts. Maintaining a “readyto rent” fleet by managing this process. Communicate with Regional Manager for inventory needsbased on activity and revenue goals. Identify underutilized equipment for sale or transfer.Vehicles: Manage company vehicles through weekly inspections. Maintain cleanliness and properoperation. Take action to repair vehicles that do not meet company standards for safety, operation orappearance.Management of all PC staff: This includes weekly scheduling, goal setting and planning as well asconducting performance and compensation reviews in coordination with Regional Manager.QUALIFICATIONSAt least four years previous sales and/ or management experience.Customer service experience required.Knowledge of different phases of construction, equipment applications, features, benefits, operationand specifications required.Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, along with effective supervisory skills.Able to lift, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel.Computer literate, including Windows, Adobe Acrobat, and the Microsoft Office suite of products.The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds ormore, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
