Pacific NW Federal Credit Union in Portland, OR is seeking a Branch Operations Specialist to support the daily branch operations and help members with service and transactions.

This full-time role emphasizes reliability, accuracy, and a friendly, professional approach as you balance member service with operational duties across deposits, transfers, audits, and account maintenance.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years banking experience
• Experience with account maintenance and member transactions
• Strong communication and member service skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Manage branch operational tasks, including monthly audits, weekly cash ordering, vendor relationships, and over/short reporting
• Welcome members and provide information about Credit Union products and services
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, wires, disputes, card orders, and other member requests
• Perform account maintenance, including opening sub-accounts and certificates, processing Powers of Attorney, and handling deceased member accounts
• Balance cash drawers and transactions daily
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Credit Union procedures
• Deliver exceptional service while building strong member relationships

Your Role

As a Branch Operations Specialist, you'll conduct and support the day-to-day operational functions that keep the branch running smoothly.

This role is ideal for an experienced banking or credit union professional who enjoys balancing member service with operational responsibilities. You'll have the opportunity to build relationships with our loyal membership while ensuring branch processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage branch operational tasks, including monthly audits, weekly cash ordering, vendor relationships, and over/short reporting

What We're Looking For

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a Teller, Member Service Representative, Universal Banker, or Contact Center Representative


• Experience with account maintenance and member transactions


• Strong communication and member service skills


• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision


• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills


• Reliability, accuracy, and a professional attitude
