Job summary

Shore United Bank in Easton, MD is seeking a full-time Branch Operations Specialist to support branch operations and coordinate departmental work. The role reports to the immediate supervisor and ensures timely responses to inquiries while helping promote bank programs and products.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year in banking, with strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year banking or financial services experience, preferably in branch operations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities daily.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills; specifically, Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills.
• Prior experience in a customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development and introduction of new products and services.
• Supports branches in resolving customer questions and problems as needed.
• Coordinates Bank programs such as Gift Cards, Check Ordering, Medallion Stamps, and Branch Cash orders through Federal Reserve.
• Supports organization of files and projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Promotes an environment to support and improve sales and referral activities to meet Affiliate goals.
• Identifies opportunities to communicate products and services to promote the Shore Bancshares brand.

Shore United Bank is seeking a full-time Branch Operations Specialist to join our team. The Branch Operations Specialist is responsible for providing support in the Operations areas of the Bank, coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor and responding to inquiries or requests for information.

What You\'ll Do:

A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):

• Participates in the development and introduction of new products and services.
• Provides support to the branches in resolving customer questions and problems as needed.
• Coordinates Bank programs such as Gift Cards, Check Ordering, Medallion Stamps, and Branch Cash orders through Federal Reserve.
• Provides support in organization of files and projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Promotes an environment and culture to support and improve sales and referral activities to meet overall Affiliate defined goals that correspond with the Shore Bancshares\' goals.
• Identifies and responds to opportunities to communicate affiliates products and services to promote the image of the affiliate and the promote Shore Bancshares\' community of companies\' products and services to potential customers and referring those customers to the proper personnel.
• Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
• Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
• Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate bank personnel.
• Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, requests from customers or other bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
• Demonstrates compliance awareness by completing all required regulatory and compliance training (e.g., BSA, CRA, ECOA) on or before deadlines, and actively supporting all policies, procedures, and practices that promote risk management, safety, and regulatory adherence.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• Full-time.
• Non-exempt.
• Days of Work: Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p.

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma/GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in banking or financial services experience, preferably in branch operations, new accounts, or deposit operations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities daily
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient computer skills; specifically, Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
• Strong communication skills
• Prior experience in a customer service role

Compensation:

• The pay range for this position is $23.00 to $26.50 hourly.
• Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
