Job summary

Reading Truck Group seeks a Branch Manager to lead daily operations of a RTE facility, overseeing safety, quality, production and financial success. You will collaborate with Materials, Scheduling, Estimating, Finance, Engineering, HR, Sales and Customers to drive results.

You will direct branch operations, manage budgets and implement lean processes while developing hourly and salary staff and maintaining strong customer relationships across the local region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Five years of management experience required.
• Ten years in a customized operations setting such as truck equipment or up-fit industry, or similar.
• Lean Manufacturing and 5S experience.
• Microsoft Office; Excel skills intermediate to advanced.
• Database management and record keeping preferred.
• Comfortable reading and interpreting financial statements (P&L, balance sheets).

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage Branch operations for safety, quality, delivery, production, maintenance, shipping and receiving.
• Track operational metrics to support continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, material cost, inventory dollars, labor productivity and morale.
• Manage Branch P&L ensuring profitability month over month.
• Achieve financial goals by implementing systems for capital and operating expenditures and overhead.
• Manage production and shipment schedules to meet customer due dates.
• Implement and manage visual management initiatives.
• Ensure company-wide programs, policies and procedures are implemented and observed.
• Facilitate training to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Manage and assist in development of hourly and salary team members.
• Interface with sales to provide customer-focused solutions.
• Maintain current customers and target new customers within local/regional jurisdiction.
• Responsible for cost centers and P&L with revenues $10 MM - $30 MM.
