Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and train field teams, ensuring safe, professional and efficient service at a branch with strong revenue. You will establish performance standards, discipline, and ensure DOT compliance while directing routes and resources to meet service commitments.

The role emphasizes leadership, effective communication, and alignment with our team green culture. A BA/BS and 2–3 years in waste operations are preferred; CDL may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and strong communication abilities.
• Experience coordinating teams and driving safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise personnel; establish appearance standards and manage performance.
• Oversee operations to meet customer service commitments and optimize productivity.
• Coordinate safety programs, investigations, and routine route audits.
• Direct finance-related duties to meet branch profit margins and cost controls.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and train all personnel; ensure policy compliance.
