Job summary

SECU, located in North Carolina, seeks an Assistant Branch Manager to support the VP/SVP in daily branch operations, ensuring high-quality member service, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The ABM will mentor staff, oversee lending/deposits, and contribute to community involvement across delivery channels.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to SECU policies, with a focus on operational risk mitigation and staff development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree, CCUE certification, or AA/AS via NC-CTP preferred.
• Minimum 7 years SECU or related experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in branch management under VP/SVP, including lending and deposit services.
• Delegate appropriate duties and follow up to ensure completion.
• Educate and delegate BORA responsibilities to qualified staff.
• Identify and mitigate operational risk within branch operations.
• Oversee loan review processes to ensure adherence to SECU policies.
• Assist MLOs in non-MLO functions and train ABM as needed.
• Support KPI monitoring and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Respond promptly to member complaints and supervise resolution processes.
