Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support daily branch operations and lead drivers to ensure timely, safe, and efficient performance. The role includes coordinating routes, monitoring safety and DOT compliance, and assisting with training new staff.

The position runs Monday through Friday with a 7:00 AM start, and may require occasional weekend coverage. Starting wage is $26.00–$30.00 per hour, with overtime paid after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in Business Management, Logistics or Operations Management preferred.
• CDL Class A license or CDL training within 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Support daily branch operations and lead drivers to ensure timely, safe operations.
• Complete routes for employees who are absent and assist with morning duties such as sorting freight.
• Monitor reports, compliance with safety/DOT policies and escalate issues to leadership.
• Suggest improvements to productivity, equipment performance, methods, and customer service.
• Attend weekly operational meetings and assist in training new staff.
