Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is looking for an Assistant Branch Manager to support daily branch operations and lead drivers to ensure timely, safe, and efficient service. The role includes assisting with morning duties, routing when staff are absent, and providing input to improve productivity and safety.

You will collaborate with branch leadership, monitor DOT and company policies, and participate in weekly meetings while supporting training and onboarding of new staff. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 21 years of age and a valid CDL Class A or be willing to complete training within 90 days.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 1+ years of leadership experience in transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily branch operations and lead drivers to ensure timely, safe performance.
• Complete routes for absent employees and assist with morning duties like sorting freight.
• Monitor and update daily department reports and ensure safety compliance.
• Track freight flow, route performance, and propose productivity improvements.
• Participate in weekly operational meetings and assist in staff training.
