Job summary

White Cap is hiring immediately for an Assistant Branch Manager who will support talent acquisition, development, and retention of branch sales and operations associates. The role also involves managing the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence and driving branch sales and profitability.

The candidate will coordinate procurement, inventory control, shipping, warehousing, and sales while resolving customer issues and ensuring accurate, timely billing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in branch operations or sales support.
• Experience in construction supply or industrial distribution.
• Experience leading front-line teams (warehouse, counter, or inside sales).
• Proficiency with ERP or order management systems (Oracle preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support talent acquisition, development, and retention of branch sales and operations associates.
• Manages the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence and helps develop strategies to drive sales and profitability.
• Coordinate procurement, inventory control, shipping and receiving, warehousing, and sales according to company policies.
• Investigate customer complaints (damaged items, overcharges, delays) and adjust resources as needed.
• Manage branch-level inventory discrepancies and make necessary adjustments.
• Serve customers and support counter and inside sales; ensure orders are billed correctly and on time; schedule staff and analyze budgets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Operate a company or personal vehicle; an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required.
