Responsibilities

• Promotes the credit union within the community.
• Develops branch business by contacting potential companies and community businesses.
• Makes loans to creditworthy members and eligible prospects after review of applications and credit reports.
• Performs capacity analysis and collateral valuation.
• Makes credit decisions or refers to Loan Review Committee with recommendations.
• Ensures office is open and ready for business; manages daily operations.
• Maintains neat and professional branch appearance; recommends equipment changes.
• Leads by example; maintains efficient, orderly branch operations.
• Manages direct reports to maximize productivity and staff development.
• Monitors compliance with laws, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Assists with clerical lending and teller operations when needed.
• Follows Red River Employees policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Responsible for efficient, effective management of a full-service office. Maintain and grow business relationships within the community.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the credit union within the community.
• Responsible for Business Development of the branch by initiating contact with potential companies or community businesses and their employees through visits, mailings, and/or phone calls.
• Makes loans to creditworthy members and eligible prospective members by viewing the application after credit reports are run and direct verifications made.
• Makes a capacity analysis, books out collateral values.
• Makes a credit decision or refers to the Loan Review Committee with appropriate recommendations.
• Ensures that the office is open and ready to conduct business each business day and assumes overall administrative responsibility for operation of the office.
• Ensures the office and grounds have a neat, clean appearance. Determines and/or recommend equipment changes.
• Sets the example as a leader in all aspects of his/her duties.
• Ensures the branch reflects an efficient, orderly, and professional organization.
• Manage direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of the company, including hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, and counseling.
• Monitors performance for compliance with laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Helps solve problems when called upon or needed in the clerical operations of the lending and/or teller functions.
• Adheres to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a consumer loan officer for a credit union or other financial institution, preferred.
• High school diploma or the equivalent with four-year college degree preferred.
• Competent computer skills and use of standard office equipment.
• Ability to meet, speak, and deal effectively with people, being professional always.
• Must be comfortable and effective in promoting the credit union services and products.
• Must be able to participate in events within the community and work extended hours whenever required or requested by management.
• Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
