Job summary

Airgas in Portland, OR seeks a Branch Manager II to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role includes coaching inside staff, supporting the outside sales team, and managing inventory and financial processing in a fast-paced retail/distribution environment.

You will mentor team members, partner with HR on performance reviews, and maintain high standards of customer service while aligning with Airgas policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of management experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Background in leading teams within retail or industrial distribution.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.
• Proficient computer skills and a willingness to learn new digital tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to桥 staff and management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations to achieve sales and margin goals.
• Provide professional customer service for internal and external customers and handle pricing/inquiries.
• Support outside sales by nurturing existing client relationships and welcoming new business opportunities.
• Process daily financial transactions including cash reports, coding, pricing, and bank deposits.
• Maintain accuracy of back order/open order/PO expedite reports.
• Cultivate shelf and hard goods inventory levels for the branch.
• Lead training for inside sales on product knowledge, policies, and safety.
• Conduct performance reviews and mentor staff with HR and management collaboration.
