Job summary

CraneWorks is seeking a Branch Manager to lead a busy operations team at the Jackson, MS site. You will supervise staff, manage safety, and optimize branch performance while ensuring compliance with CW/RW policies. Overnight travel is required, and you will partner with HR and senior management to drive profitability.

The role demands strong crane knowledge, leadership, and the ability to coach staff across operations and sales functions in a fast-paced shop and jobsite environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5 years of management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to accidents and conduct initial fact-finding investigations.
• Assign duties and manage daily tasks of staff.
• Maintain documentation and inventory; assist scheduling.
• Use Visual Dispatch for daily operations.
• Work with Service Manager to troubleshoot repair issues.
• Conduct yard and office inspections; keep facilities clean.
• Lead daily huddles with dispatch to align daily plans.
• Oversee weekly yard/equipment inspections and address deficiencies.
• Promote teamwork between CraneWorks and RentalWorks.
• Attend weekly CraneWorks Safety meetings.
• Lead branch meetings to identify improvements.
• Schedule workers based on demand and economy.
• Set expectations and conduct annual reviews.
• Coach staff; consult HR/GM before discipline.
• Train staff and follow up with employees.
• Enforce CW/RW policies.
• Coordinate with all departments.
• Complete admin tasks: time approvals, contracts, attendance.
• Maintain accurate records and safe practices.
• Understand branch Profit & Loss.
• Overnight travel may be required.
