Job summary

BMO Financial Group seeks a Branch Leader to guide sales and service teams while maintaining strict regulatory compliance and customer-focus. The role involves originating consumer loans under Reg Z, G, and S.A.F.E. Act requirements, and building a network through local outreach.

Responsibilities include developing business plans, driving customer referrals, and ensuring fair, compliant banking practices across the branch.

Qualifications

• Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience - preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of retail banking products and services.
• Advanced knowledge of competitive marketplace and trends in product offerings.
• Working knowledge of branch operational processes and policies.
• Working knowledge of branch technologies, processes, and performance metrics.
• Working knowledge of applicable regulations, audit standards, and related policies, procedures, and directives.
• Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead branch business plan to maximize growth and wallet share.
• Resolves customer issues and ensures high service standards.
• Develops and maintains referral networks to acquire new business.
• Contributes to achievement of business objectives through sales calls and marketing.
• Plans and controls unit operating expenses in line with forecasts.
• Monitors performance and drives action plans to close gaps.
