Job summary

MidCountry Bank in Waconia, MN is seeking a Branch Manager to lead sales, service and operations of the branch. You will provide leadership and development for staff and drive achievement of branch financial goals.

Salary Range: $73,000.00 To $85,000.00 Hourly

The pay range represents the anticipated base pay for this position. Actual pay will be based on factoring including, but not limited to: market data, internal equity, skillset and knowledge, experience, education and overall qualifications for the role.

This position is eligible for the Community Banking Annual Incentive Plan.

JOB SUMMARY

The Branch Manager is responsible for driving and managing sales, service, and operations for the branch. This position provides leadership and development for the branch staff and is accountable for meeting branch financial goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set clear goals that tie to the vision and mission of the business
• Provide ongoing coaching sessions to help guide teams to reach financial targets, company objectives and personal goals.
• Foster a positive, collaborative culture within the team and across the organization.
• Determine staffing needs; Recruit, hire and onboard talent.
• Document and conduct annual performance review process on time.
• Manage employee performance issues in a timely manner and adhere to employment policies.
• Participate in leadership training opportunities and apply new skills.

2. Sales Development and Service Leadership

• Engage in calling activities; including but not limited to internal customer calls and external calling efforts, while promoting bank and non-bank products and services.
• Open new Deposit accounts as well as service and maintain consumer, business, HSA, and IRA accounts.
• Guide the consumer loan process from conversation to application, Including obtaining and evaluating financial statements, review credit information and process the closing with the customer.
• Maintain knowledge of all bank regulations and compliance requirements for the role of personal banker. This includes completing all required training assigned and attending off-site training as needed.
• Build relationships with business line partners; Lead business development efforts for introducing customers to bank leaders and other internal partners.
• Develop relationships with centers of influence all while balancing community involvement with banking needs and return.
• Ensure branch/location is successful in achieving set retail and small business objectives/key deliverables around referrals, Business DDAs, Deposit Growth, Loan Production, and other goals.
• Understand the local branch market and the opportunities that exist within that trade area; Be seen as a viable financial player and competitor in the marketplace.

3. Operational Leadership including Compliance, Security and Procedures

• Manage all branch activities to ensure overall profitability of branch while adhering to corporate and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Oversee branch facilities and budget
• Direct and monitor daily team activities, including training, scheduling, and work direction.
• Ensure Bank and Branch security procedures are implemented and followed.
• Maintains working knowledge of laws and regulations to ensure tasks completed are compliant.

4. Community Engagement

• Build relationships with business lines partners; Leads business development efforts for introducing customers to bank leaders and other internal partners to build relationships and create growth opportunities.
• Balance community involvement with an expectation of return.
• Develop Relationships with local professionals and businesses.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education-

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management or related degree or equivalent experience

Experience-

• Required: 6+ years of experience in banking, financial services and/or managing a retail team.

SCHEDULE

This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The Company reserves the right to change the schedule as required for business needs.
