Job summary

Anchor Light Search Group is seeking a hands-on Branch Manager to lead and grow one of the company’s largest divisions in San Jose. You will oversee 25–30 employees across sales, customer service, counter, warehouse, drivers, and yard, including two full-time Assistant Managers.

This role focuses on strengthening culture, improving execution, expanding market share, and driving profitability while maintaining exceptional customer service and strong relationships with customers and contractors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of branch or store management.
  • Experience growing sales and profitability.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and people development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build culture, drive accountability, and improve employee engagement.
  • Experience managing branch or store level P&L responsibilities.
  • Proven success developing contractor, commercial, or B2B customer relationships is a plus.
  • Strong business development skills to grow a book of business and strengthen local market presence.
  • Hands-on leadership style with daily operational involvement.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems, inventory management, and distribution environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all branch operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, logistics, safety, and financial performance.
  • Build, coach, mentor, and develop a high performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive revenue growth by developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding market share.
  • Manage branch profitability through effective P&L management, expense control, inventory oversight, and operational discipline.
  • Establish performance expectations and accountability across all levels of the branch.
  • Improve operational processes, efficiency, and overall customer experience.
  • Work closely with customers and employees to ensure exceptional service and long term relationship development.
  • Develop and execute local business strategies to increase sales, profitability, and branch performance.
  • Lead by example as a visible, hands-on manager who is actively engaged in both office and operational activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational best practices.

Position Summary

This next hire will lead and grow an established one of the company's largest branches. Qualifications

Candidate must speak Spanish, ideally Bilingual

  • Minimum of 3 years of branch or store management, or similar operational leadership experience
  • Proven success growing sales and profitability while managing day to day operations and team performance
  • Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and people development skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build culture, drive accountability, and improve employee engagement
  • Experience managing branch or store level P&L responsibilities
  • Proven success developing contractor, commercial, or business to business customer relationships a HUGE PLUS
  • Strong business development skills with the ability to build and grow a book of business and strengthen local market presence
  • Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to be actively involved in daily operations
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with ERP systems, inventory management, operational processes, and distribution environments preferred
Preferred Experience

Experience within wholesale distribution, industrial distribution, construction related products, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, supply chain, contractor focused sales, or similar operationally focused business environments would be a strong plus but is not required.

Candidates with a proven track record of leading teams, driving operational excellence, building customer relationships, and growing sales and profitability will be given strong consideration regardless of industry background.
