Job summary

ServiceMaster of Salem seeks a proven operator to lead a full restoration branch, overseeing mitigation and reconstruction with real authority over hiring, scheduling, and standards. You’ll run emergency response and a construction backlog, building a team that stays and upholding our reputation with carriers, agents, and customers on their worst day.

You’ll manage day-to-day operations for two divisions, lead 40–50 techs and office staff, and drive safety, documentation, and estimating

Qualifications

• 5+ years in restoration or insurance repair and 3+ years leading a branch, division, or team.
• Knowledge of Xactimate and TPA scorecards; experience negotiating with carriers.
• Ability to read WIP reports and identify key jobs immediately.
• Proven track record hiring, training, and retaining technicians in a competitive labor market.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across mitigation and reconstruction with full accountability.
• Direct a team of 40–50 staff and build the management layer underneath you.
• Maintain 24/7 emergency response and complete mitigation files within 30 days.
• Manage a reconstruction backlog with strong WIP discipline and timely completion.
• Own relationships with adjusters, agents, plumbers, and property managers.
• Set safety, documentation, and estimating standards and uphold integrity.

Lead the whole branch, not just a piece of it.

Most "branch manager" jobs are middle management with a fancier title. This one isn't. You'll lead the full operation of an established disaster restoration branch — mitigation and reconstruction, roughly 55/45 — with real authority over hiring, scheduling, estimating standards, and how we show up for customers on the worst day of their lives.

We're looking for a proven operator: someone who can run emergency response and a construction backlog at the same time, build a team that stays, and keep our reputation with carriers, agents, and customers exactly where it belongs.

What you'll actually do

• Lead day-to-day operations across both divisions — mitigation and reconstruction — with full accountability for how the branch performs
• Lead a team of 40–50: mitigation techs, PMs, estimators, and office staff — and build the managers underneath you
• Keep our 24/7 emergency response sharp and our mitigation files closed in 30 days
• Run a reconstruction backlog with real WIP discipline — no jobs dying at 90% complete
• Own the relationships that feed the branch: adjusters, agents, plumbers, property managers, TPA programs
• Set the standard on safety, documentation, and estimating integrity — we win by doing it right, not by padding scopes

You're probably a fit if

• You've spent 5+ years in restoration or insurance repair and at least 3 running a branch, division, or team of your own
• You know Xactimate, you know what a TPA scorecard is, and you've fought (politely) with a carrier over a supplement
• You can read a WIP report and immediately know which three jobs are lying to you
• You've hired, trained, and kept technicians in a labor market that's trying to steal them
• You're comfortable being the person the phone finds at 2 a.m. when a CAT event hits
