Job summary

Irby Utilities in Pennsylvania seeks a Branch Manager to oversee all branch operations, drive efficiency, and maximize profit across sales, warehouse, delivery, and admin. You will lead a team, manage inventory, and align actions with company objectives to deliver value for customers and the organization.

You will build strong relationships with customers and vendors, coach staff, and develop budgets and forecasts to support growth.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience managing exempt and non-exempt employees with a focus on culture.
  • Strong verbal and written communication for top management, customers, vendors and staff.
  • Knowledge of supply chain, logistics, inventory, and profitability to drive efficiency.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships across the organization and with customers.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.
  • Proficiency with CRMs, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee branch sales performance, business plans, customer service levels, and project status. Coordinate with the District Manager to align with broader objectives.
  • Regularly engage with customers to meet sales targets and resolve concerns and issues.
  • Lead initial and ongoing training of branch employees and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Interview and hire candidates for various branch positions to build a capable team.
  • Monitor and reconcile branch inventory and lead regular stock initiatives.
  • Negotiate pricing with vendors in collaboration with purchasing to secure favorable terms.

Branch Manager

As theBranch Manageryou willoversee all branch operationsachievingoptimalefficiency,operational economy, and profit maximization. This role involves managing sales, warehouse, delivery, and administrative functions either directly or through subordinate supervisorsin alignment with specific organizational objectives.

What you will do:
  • Branch Performance: Oversee branch sales performance, business plans, customer service levels, and project status. Coordinate with the District Manager to ensure alignment with broader company objectives.
  • Customer Interaction: Regularly engage with customers to enhance service levels and achieve sales targets. Address, mediate, and resolve customer concerns, complaints, and issues to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Employee Training and Development: Oversee the initial and ongoing training of all branch employees, ensuring they meet qualification standards. Conduct performance evaluations and manage personnel issues to maintain a motivated and efficient team.
  • Hiring: Interview and hirecandidatesfor various branch positions, ensuring the selection of qualified team-oriented associates.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage branch inventory, including daily reconciliation of discrepancies and adjustments. Coordinate and completeregularinventoryinitiativesto maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Vendor Negotiations: Negotiate pricing and resolve issues with vendors in collaboration with local and company purchasing departments to secure favorable terms.
  • Financial Planning: Prepare branch budgets and forecasts, ensuring financial targets are met. Develop business plans for branch operations and create capital expenditure plans to support growth and efficiency.
Experience and skillsets needed:
  • Leadership :Understandingand proven experience of best practices in managing exempt and non-exempt employees. Ability to train and develop associates while driving a positive culture.
  • Effective Communication: Strongverbaland written communication skills for presenting information to top management, customers, vendors, employees, and the public.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to leverage knowledge of supply chain, logistics, operations inventory, and sale profitability to increase efficiency, drive decision-making, and coach associates.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain effective working relationshipsthroughout the organization and customer base.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, andprovide innovative solutions.
  • Technical Aptitude: Proficientin working in various systems such as CRMs, ERP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
