Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of work experience managing a warehouse/distribution facility.
• Knowledge about waterworks products strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the movement of goods into and out of the warehouse to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Foster customer account relationships serviced by the branch.
• Organize and manage all branch operations to meet customer needs and service goals.
• Perform personnel functions, including hiring, training and performance evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate branch pricing, sales, and distribution activities.
• Review financial and performance data to drive productivity and cost reductions.

Summary

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the movement of goods into and out of warehouse facility to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of operations.
• Manage P&L for one or more operating branch locations.
• Foster customer account relationships serviced by the branch.
• Organize and manage all branch operations to effectively meet customer needs.
• Perform personnel functions, such as hiring, training and job performance evaluation.
• Monitor and/or negotiate with suppliers to ensure they provide needed products within budgetary limits.
• Direct or coordinate financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency.
• Review financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity goals or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.
• Direct and coordinate branch activities concerning the pricing, sales, or distribution of products.
• Seek opportunities to grow market share by assessing customer needs and monitoring competition.
• Provide product pricing and availability over the phone, in person, or through various electronic technologies by using independent judgment, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Provide suggestions and options to customers while using detailed knowledge of products and their intended application.
