Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a skilled banking professional to join our Bellingham branch. This onsite role focuses on sustaining operations standards, coaching staff, and growing customer relationships through proactive solutions and expert service.

The role includes supporting personal banking activities, overseeing tellers, and handling loan-related processes under the guidance of the Branch Manager. This position requires MLO responsibilities and compliance with SAFE Act requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s, Vocational, or Technical Degree in banking, business, or related field preferred.
• 3 years of retail banking experience required.
• 2 years of management/supervisory experience preferred.
• 2 years of consumer and small business lending origination experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure branch meets or exceeds operations standards and audits.
• Monitor sales goals and coach team to deepen customer relationships.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with consumers and businesses.
• Back up to personal banking team for opening new accounts and loan requests.
• Lead and coach tellers; oversee personal bankers with Branch Manager.
• Process branch tasks: opening/closing, overdraft monitoring, wire transfers, collections, stop payments, branch controls.
