Job summary

Carver Federal Savings Bank in Queens, NY, seeks an Assistant Branch Manager to lead on the floor, drive client experience, and coach a team to maintain high performance. This full‑time role reports to the Branch Manager and requires NMLS registration within 30 days of hire.

You will manage daily operations, contribute to deposits growth, and partner with lending, deposits, and small business teams to fulfill client needs. Availability includes weekends and some evenings.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive financial services experience with a client‑facing role
• Experience in team supervision, operations oversight, or acting management
• Strong knowledge of retail banking regulatory requirements (BSA/AML, CRA, OFAC, Regulation E)
• Excellent communication and coaching skills
• NMLS registration within 30 days of hire

• Hold the client experience standard at the frontline level and reflect Carver's values
• Model the advisory approach on the floor: listen, understand, recommend, and follow through
• Create Moments That Matter for every client through intentional, memorable interactions
• Position Carver's digital tools as part of every client conversation and coach the team to adopt them
• Track client satisfaction indicators and surface patterns to the Branch Manager
• Resolve client concerns requiring management involvement with urgency and sound judgment
• Carry personal production responsibilities alongside management duties and contribute to deposit growth
