Job summary

SRS Building Products – McKinney invites motivated students to join as Branch Interns, gaining hands-on experience in a high-volume distribution center in Texas. You will participate in day-to-day operations, customer service, product handling, and shadow sales activities to develop a broad understanding of distribution and sales.

You will work under the Branch Manager for 10–12 weeks, with possible consideration for full-time opportunities in the Management Trainee Program after graduation.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a degree program relevant to business, distribution, or operations, with graduation within 2 semesters.
• Strong references and leadership experience in school or work are valued.
• Willingness to commit 10–12 weeks of hands-on learning in a distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily distribution center operations under Branch Manager guidance.
• Learn core distribution center functions: receiving, moving, loading, dispatch, customer service, and order entry.
• Shadow Territory Manager for outside sales and assist in strategic projects.
• Present project outcomes to executives during the internship.
• Demonstrate safety, teamwork, and strong time management in a fast-paced setting.
• Possess valid driver’s license and pass background/drug checks.
