Job summary

SRS Building Products - McKinney is seeking Branch Interns to gain immersive experience in distribution center culture, service, sales, and operations. You will assist in daily operations, customer service, product handling, and shadow outside sales, with a pathway to full-time opportunities.

The program emphasizes leadership, organization, and strategic thinking, includes a three-day corporate visit, and requires work authorization in the US and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a degree program relevant to our business, such as Business, Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales or Management, with an expected graduation within 2 semesters.
• Willingness to engage in a full-time, hands-on internship for 10-12 weeks between May and August.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including occasional lifting of building materials.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Proven leadership and teamwork experience in academic or work settings.

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to daily operations of a high-profile distribution center under supervision.
• Master key distribution center functions: receiving, moving, loading, dispatch, delivery, customer service, order entry, shadowing sales.
• Lead projects of strategic importance with outcomes presented to executives.
• Demonstrate commitment to learning and possibly join the Management Trainee Program post-graduation.
• Present project outcomes during a three-day corporate visit.
• Work in a hybrid office/warehouse environment with tight collaboration with branches and senior management.
